Privacy Policy

Effective August 31, 2026 · hello@groomeow.com

Groomeow is built on trust, so this page says plainly what we collect and what we do with it. Right now there are two surfaces: groomeow.com, the pre-launch site where you can read about the product and request early access, and the app preview, where you keep your cats' profiles and photos. This policy covers both.

What we collect

The early access form asks for three things:

  • Your email address.
  • Your city or area. That one is optional.
  • Whether you are a cat parent, a caregiver, or both.

We store it in our database, hosted in the United States, so we can contact you about early access and launch. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising. Our hosting and database providers process it on our behalf. Our product analytics provider is a processor on the same terms, and it never receives anything from this form.

If you sign in to the app preview, we create a profile for your account, and the app stores what you enter about your cats: their name, sex, birthday, breed, weight, temperament, whether they stay indoors, and any photo you upload. It lives in the same database, and we hold it for one reason, so the app can show it back to you. It is yours.

Analytics

On this public site we use a cookie-free analytics provider. It counts visits in aggregate. It does not build a profile of you.

Inside the signed-in app we use a product analytics provider, so we can see which features get used and build the next thing on evidence instead of a guess. What it receives is a count of an action, tied to your account id. Never your name, never your email, and nothing at all about your cats. It records no sessions, it captures no screens, and it sets no cookies. We configure it to store nothing in your browser.

Cookies

One kind only, sign-in sessions for the app preview. The details live in the Cookie Policy.

Who processes data for us

Five companies handle data on our behalf, each of them on our instructions and nothing more:

  • Vercel · hosting, and the visit counts for this public site.
  • Supabase · the database, sign-in, and photo storage.
  • Resend · sends our account email, like sign-in links.
  • PostHog · product analytics inside the signed-in app.
  • Sentry · error reports when something breaks in the app.

Your choices

Want something corrected or deleted, whether it is your early access request or what you have put in the app preview, or want to know what we hold? Email hello@groomeow.com and we will do it.

What comes next

The app preview is live, and what it holds is covered above. The fuller product will hold more: vet documents, your routines, travel dates, emergency contacts, and AI reading of those documents to pull out the dates that matter. Each of those gets its own plain description here before it ships. The access rules are enforced in the database itself, not just promised in the interface.
